Paws & People
Book Box

Take a book, leave a book

Pets and a good book are a healthy combination, according to researchers in the School of Veterinary Medicine, University of California, Davis.

An example is the All Ears Reading Program, an animal-assisted therapy program developed by St. Louis Cardinals baseball manager Tony La Russa’s Animal Rescue Foundation.

Benefits Of Reading To Animals

Since both reading and spending time with your pets can help overcome stress and anxiety; why not combine the two. It is beneficial to you and your pet's health and it is also a calming and comforting activity that can help strengthen the bond between you and your four-legged family members.

Paws & People Self-Service Lending Library

There is no need to check-in or check-out a book at the front desk.  The Paws & People Book Box is self-service so feel free to take one, bring one back, preferably animal related, if possible. We are operating on the honor system so please return or bring another in its place if you borrow one. Please remember this is a family friend environment, all books need to be appropriate for all ages.

Most importantly, relax and enjoy!
